 Mikado 

Donna, a native of Dublin, has recently returned to Europe after a few years residing in the United States of America.  She has become a regular performer on the stage throughout Ireland.  She has also performed in the USA, the UK, Italy, Portugal and Germany. Roles include The Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute, Ireland & USA) Norina (Don Pasquale Italy), Yum-Yum (The Mikado) Nedda (cover) and Chorus Lady (I Pagliacci English translation, Dublin) Geraldine (Hand of Bridge Dublin) Clorinda (La Cenerentola Italy) Susanna and Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro Italy) Nella and Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi Italy) Rosina (Barber of Seville Portugal).  In Dublin, she is in demand on the concert stage, and has sung several times in the National Concert Hall where she sang in Unchained Melody and played Jenny Lind in The Life and Times of Stephan Foster.  She was the soprano soloist in Exsultate Jubilate (Mozart) in Viterbo, Italy and The Messiah (Handel) in Tryon, South Carolina.  Donna has also been featured as a soloist with the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra at Twichell Auditorium, South Carolina, for the orchestral suite By the Streams of Babylon (Agocs).

 

Donna has had the opportunity to study with many top professionals in a masterclass situation, including Montserrat Caballé, Barbara Bonney, Dennis O'Neill, Elaine Kidd, Sarah Walker, Graham Johnson, Michael Maniaci and Ugo Benelli.  She graduated from Converse College with her Masters in Music Performance where she studied with Rebecca Turner and also studied with Mary Brennan in the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama.  Most recently, she recorded an original piece called Bees &ndash 5 Poems of Emily Dickenson (Scott Robbins).
